Everyone has a story, although most of us don’t think about our lives that way while we’re living them. We tend to associate stories with people who have already arrived somewhere: the founder looking back on how the company began, the artist explaining the years before anyone knew their name, or the athlete remembering everything it took to reach the moment everyone else finally saw. But a story doesn’t begin when other people start paying attention. It begins long before that. It is being written in the decisions you make, the things you try, the places you go, the people you meet, the ideas you pursue, and even the things that don’t work out the way you hoped. The ordinary moments matter too. What seems insignificant today can become the moment you look back on years from now and realize that something was beginning. That is how I think about a World Story. Your World is made up of more than what can fit inside a bio or a collection of finished posts. There are experiences behind what people see. There are reasons you believe what you believe, reasons you create what you create, and moments that have shaped where you are going. Your story gives those things context. And when you allow people to see some of that story, they have an opportunity to understand more than what you do. They can begin to understand the World behind it. Give people a reason to enter your World Discovery can happen in an instant. Someone sees a photograph, hears a song, finds a product, reads something you wrote, or comes across an idea you shared. That may be enough to get their attention, but attention and connection are not the same thing. Story is often what creates the difference. Think about the people, companies, artists, athletes, or creators you feel connected to. In many cases, you know more than what they produce. You know something about where they came from. You understand what they care about. You’ve seen parts of the process, the setbacks, the preparation, or the moments behind the finished work. Those details make what they create mean something different because you understand more of the story surrounding it. The same principle applies to your World. Someone may discover your World because of a Post, a WorldView, a product, an idea, or something else you shared. But the story behind those things can give that person a reason to look deeper. It can turn a passing discovery into curiosity and curiosity into a connection with the World behind it. You don’t need to be famous for that story to matter. You don’t need to wait until the company succeeds, the audience grows, the project is finished, or your life reaches some imaginary point where you finally feel qualified to talk about the journey. Sometimes the most interesting part of a story is watching it happen before anyone knows how it ends. The process is part of the story There is a tendency online to show people the result. We show the launch, but not the months that came before it. We show the finished product, but not the sketches that didn’t work. We show the performance, but not the practice. We show the announcement, but not the uncertainty that existed before the decision was made. There is nothing wrong with celebrating the result. But the result is only one part of the story. The process is where much of life actually happens. For a founder, that might be an early prototype, a late night working through a problem, the first person who believed in the idea, or the moment something that had existed only in your head finally started to become real. For an artist, it could be the unfinished work, the studio session, or the inspiration behind something people will eventually experience in its completed form. For someone else, it might simply be a place, a conversation, a family moment, or something happening today that they want to share while it is still happening. On WRLDGATE, World Story is designed for those kinds of moments. It gives you a temporary way to share what is happening inside your World without requiring every moment to become a permanent Post. That temporary nature matters. Not everything we experience needs to become part of a permanent archive. Some things have value precisely because they allow someone to look into your World for a moment and experience a small piece of what is happening there right now. No one else has your exact story The internet can make originality feel increasingly difficult. There will always be someone making something similar to what you make, building in the same industry, talking about the same subjects, selling a similar product, or pursuing an ambition that looks a lot like yours. But there is one part they cannot completely reproduce: the path that brought you there. No one has lived your exact combination of experiences. They haven’t had your relationships, your setbacks, your memories, your opportunities, your mistakes, your influences, or your reasons for wanting what you want. Even when two people arrive at a similar destination, the stories that brought them there can be entirely different. That is why I believe story can be one of the most powerful ways to attract people to a World. Not because every moment of our lives needs to become content, and not because we should turn every experience into a performance. The point is almost the opposite. When you choose to share something real from your journey, you give people context they cannot get from looking only at the finished version of you. They begin to understand why your World is yours. There is also something valuable about telling the story while it is still being written. Looking backward gives us clarity, but sharing parts of the journey as they happen preserves something hindsight can’t recreate. You don’t yet know which idea will work, which introduction will matter, which failure will redirect you, or which ordinary day will eventually become an important chapter. You are simply living it. And that may be exactly what makes it worth sharing. Your World Story does not need a perfect beginning, and it does not need an ending before you start telling it. It only needs to be yours. There will always be another chapter, another moment, another place, another idea, another version of you becoming something you cannot completely see yet. Let people discover the things you create. Let them see what you are building. But every once in a while, let them see some of the story behind it too. Because everyone has a story. What’s yours?
